The Greenbrier 4-H club met at Landus Co-op in Jefferson Monday, June 10. Roll call was, “In the most exciting day ever; tell what you would want to happen.” The Young Leaders reported that they voted for new officers.
Old business: State Fair livestock entries are due to the Extension office by July 1 and Clay County livestock entries are due by Aug. 1. New business: Livestock fair entry sheets are due in the office by 4:30 on June 17. State 4-H Conference and Animal Science Roundup is June 25-27. Everyone got a list of Greenbriers families’ fair duties during the Greene County Fair held July 9-15.
Everyone participated in the recreation games consisting of a scavenger hunt and 4-H Jeopardy. 4-H presentations were done by Elias Messer on How to Take the Bark Off of Wood Safely and Kaleah Messer on How to Use a Stencil. Refreshments were served by Elias and Kaleah Messer.
Greenbrier’s next meeting will be on Sept. 9 at 7 pm at Landus Co-op. ~Bailey Anderson, reporter
